Roots of Serengeti began on a sun‑bleached veranda in Arusha in 2025 when tour expert Clifford realised two truths: travellers deserved deeper connections than drive‑by snapshots, and local communities deserved a bigger slice of the tourism pie. And then all new company was formed  and started runing ;  owner‑run, still based in Tanzania, and still convinced that meaningful safaris start with empathy—listening until a guest feels truly heard.

Our guides are bilingual naturalists who average nine years in the field and hold Wilderness First Responder certificates. Our camp crew is 60 % female in an industry that hovers under 10 %. Every itinerary includes park fees that fund anti‑poaching patrols, and each booking channels US $50 directly into a Maasai classroom lease fund. We call it conservation at eye level: when wildlife thrives, neighbours thrive, guests thrive.
